A Grateful Year in Design | Looking Back at 2025

December naturally brings a sense of pause. A moment of gratitude to take stock on the year that somehow went by in a blink.

For our studio, 2025 was filled with meaningful collaborations, remarkable transformations, and countless reminders of why we feel so fortunate to call this “work.”

Kristin Burke Interiors was founded on a simple belief: design should feel like home. This past year only reaffirmed that truth. As we step into a season of reflection, we’re thinking about the work, the people, and the stories that shaped 2025 in ways we’ll carry with us for years to come.

Gratitude for Our Clients & Work

To each client who welcomed us into their space this year: thank you.

Design is an intimate process, and we never take lightly the trust you place in us. Whether we were helping reimagine a timeless family home, furnish a new office, or guide a lake home renovation from start to finish, your stories and aspirations shaped the heart of our work.

One especially meaningful project was the transformation of an Elm Grove house into a warm, inviting sanctuary for a family of six.

Custom millwork and cabinetry, bespoke furniture, dreamy textiles, personal art, and tailored window treatments make the design meaningful and one-of-a-kind – ready for all the everyday moments, celebrations, and quiet comforts of life with six under one roof.

We were also honored to redesign a historic Milwaukee office for a boutique communications firm. Once home to a boot factory, the space carried a gorgeous century-old character. We paired that history with an energizing, contemporary aesthetic to reflect our client’s creative spirit.

Small Business Reflections

Small-business ownership comes with its fair share of challenges and victories, and this year was no exception. We stretched in new ways and celebrated a couple of major milestones:

  • Our Grand Opening of our showroom in April, where we welcomed friends, family, and the community into our new office and designer showroom.

  • Recognition in Milwaukee Magazine’s Home and Design Awards, and the chance to celebrate the talented design community of Wisconsin.

And of course, the greatest part of our year was spent doing the work we love most:

  • beginning new projects

  • unveiling finished spaces to happy clients

  • collaborating with our trusted vendors

These everyday moments are the heartbeat of our studio.

A Heartfelt Thank You

From our studio to your space, thank you for being part of our journey this year, whether as a client, collaborator, friend, or follower of our work. Your support allows us to do what we love, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Wishing you a warm, restful, and joy-filled holiday season. We can't wait to see what the new year brings.

If you have questions about our process, or are considering a project in the coming year, we’d love to connect.
