Inside the Kristin Burke Interiors Studio
There’s something really meaningful about creating a workspace that reflects the kind of homes you hope to create for others.
While so much of our work happens inside our clients’ homes, on construction sites, or alongside architects and builders, our studio is where every project truly begins to take shape. It’s where we spread out samples, review elevations and renderings, talk through layouts, and make hundreds of tiny decisions long before install day.
We are still a relatively young business, and this design studio officially became home base last spring. The space itself is in the heart of Whitefish Bay—right above Winkie’s—which feels especially fitting for us, given that the majority of our team lives here in this close-knit community. Our space has lots of natural light, plenty of room to work through ideas as a team, and enough personality that it never feels like a traditional office.
Over time, the studio has become the backdrop to every part of our process—from sourcing and presentations to client meetings and install prep.
More than anything, having a dedicated studio has changed the rhythm of how we work. It’s given us a place to collaborate, problem solve, and refine ideas together before they ever make their way into our clients’ homes.
And while every project eventually extends far beyond these walls, this space has become the backdrop to our work, and a place that feels fully ours.
