Tucked inside this Whitefish Bay home, we designed this moody pantry to feel equal parts functional and unforgettable. Rich color drenching envelops the space, creating depth and warmth, transforming an everyday utility space into a true design moment. Custom cabinetry was thoughtfully designed to maximize storage while maintaining a tailored, furniture-like feel, blending beauty and practicality seamlessly.

One of our favorite details is the playful wallpaper installed on the “fifth wall” — the ceiling — bringing personality, movement, and an unexpected layer of charm to the space. Taj Mahal quartzite countertops add softness and elegance, while jewelry-like hardware acts as the finishing touch, elevating the cabinetry with subtle sophistication. Layered lighting, including a picture light illuminating collected artwork, adds warmth and intimacy throughout.

As with all KBI projects, styling played an important role in bringing the pantry to life. A curated mix of vintage finds and new accessories adds soul, texture, and character, creating a space that feels deeply personal, elevated, and effortlessly lived in.
