Reveal: Our Ranch Revamp Project

Getting to know our clients, learning what they love and how they function (or don’t function!) in their homes is an incredibly important part of our role as an Interior Design Firm.

Our clients initially invited us into their home because they wanted some new family room furniture. That was it. However, after many conversations about how their home just wasn’t working for them, they allowed us to replace their flooring (they had carpeting in their dining room, which they hated) and trusted us to completely gut and transform their kitchen, creating a secondary kitchen that is just as beautiful and functional as the main one. And then, after a year or so, they invited us back in to finally get that furniture that they were initally looking for.

Do we walk into all clients’ homes who ask for furniture and just blow up their kitchen? Defintily not. But our job is to offer our expertise and talent and provide solutions to problems. If a home is not working for you, we will figure out a way to not only make it beautiful (because it will be!), but to improve the way you live and funtion in your home.

With an open-concept layout encompassing the living room, dining nook, kitchen, butler’s pantry, and mudroom, our goal was to elevate each space with warmth, function, and a refined aesthetic. Designed for comfort and gathering—this home transformation was all about warmth, function, and connection.

A Kitchen Designed for Everyday Luxury

We transformed the heart of the home, the kitchen, into a space that feels equally inviting and elevated. The design layers, classic elements—warm wood tones, creamy cabinetry, and soft brass accents—create a timeless foundation. A statement light fixture above the island introduces sculptural interest, while cane-backed barstools add warmth and texture. Every detail, from the custom, plaster range hood to the thoughtfully curated open shelving, was selected to enhance both beauty and practicality.

A secondary kitchen that works just as hard. A secondary kitchen is a dream for homeowners who love to entertain, and this space was designed to be as hardworking as it is beautiful. Clean-lined cabinetry and functional storage solutions ensure everything has its place, while high-end finishes elevate the space. Whether used for meal prep, hosting, or everyday convenience, this kitchen is proof that function and style can coexist seamlessly.

A Cozy and Collected Living Room

When our clients were finally ready to furnish that family room that we initially discussed, we carried the same palette and textural elements into their living space. A balance of modern lines and organic textures ensures the room feels polished yet relaxed. Thoughtful styling choices, from original artwork to a curated mix of textiles, bring personality and warmth, making the space feel like home.

A Dining Nook that Invites Conversation

Situated within the open floor plan, the dining nook serves as an intimate yet connected space for gathering. The round table encourages conversation, while the surrounding built-ins and styling details create a moment of design interest. The result is a space that feels both casual and refined—perfect for everyday meals and special occasions alike.

A Home That Feels Effortlessly Connected

What makes this project truly special is how every space speaks to the next. We chose a harmonious palette, layered textures, and an emphasis on livability, so the home feels cohesive, welcoming, and designed for gathering. Every detail was chosen with purpose, creating a space that will stand the test of time—both in function and in beauty.
