For our Classic Colonial project, we reimagined a stately historic home with fresh perspective, rich character, and deeply personal touches. The scope included the foyer, stairway, den, mudroom, and a guest bedroom/lounge.

We began with a statement: the entryway. Here, we painted the original trim in a moody, heritage-inspired blue that celebrates the charm of the moldings while immediately setting the tone for the home’s distinctive personality. A new stair runner and an artful, personalized gallery wall draw the eye upward.

Throughout the home, new and vintage rugs ground each room in warmth and texture, while custom lighting, wallpaper, and brass hardware elevate every detail. The den features the crown jewel of the project — a custom upholstered sectional in a rich plaid fabric, perfectly scaled for family lounging (dogs included!).

Our favorite design moments are often the most personal, and this home was no exception. Knowing the clients' passion for vintage Italian and French lithograph advertisement posters, we sourced art and a coffee table book from one of their favorite artists — meaningful touches that truly make this house a home.
